Meet Lisa B.
Change can be tough, but it is the one thing we can count on. I bring my humor, directness, and curiosity to each session. I am a guide; I do not offer advice and will not tell you what to do; I offer a space to support you while you make your own decisions and process your own experiences. I work with those struggling with anxiety, depression, PTSD, grief, life transitions, and chronic health issues. I have a thirst for knowledge and understanding to continue to make myself a better counselor and human. I enjoy working with the LGBTQ+ and Veteran communities. I utilize many approaches, including CBT, EMDR, CPT, mindfulness and always person-centered. I apply ritual, writing, and other creative means to assist in exploring and releasing what holds you down. I have experience with the military. I deployed as a contractor to Afghanistan and have worked with veterans in a therapeutic environment. We will work together to identify what will bring you change; there is an expectation of honesty and a desire to work. I recognize that the mind is not separate from the body and will assist you in seeing the connection. I am honored by each soul that enters my doorway and it is a privilege to assist you on your journey.
