Frequently Asked Questions

What does your weight loss plan entail?

At the beginning of our journey, we will send you two forms. One is a billing form and the other is a comprehensive health survey. When we meet, we will go over your survey answers. We will discuss your family and health history. We will begin to identify the behaviors associated with weight gain.  We will decide if medical intervention is necessary and together we will come up with reasonable goals that you CAN meet.  Each month we will meet to go over how you have changed, how you met your goals, and of course, document your weight loss!

What medications do you use for weight loss?

We use a variety of medications to help our patients stay on their plans. There are medications that you inject GLP-1s that act similarly to hormones that your body produces. There are both name brand and compounded medications that we prescribe based on your individual situation. There are also medications who side effect is a decreased appetite. When appropriate, we sometimes use these medications to treat a condition and as an added benefit, our patients lose weight due to a decreased appetite. Due to research findings, WE DO NOT PRESCRIBE STIMULANT WEIGHT LOSS MEDICATIONS SUCH AS ADIPEX.

What are the rates of your services?

Rates vary depending on the medication, the insurance, and the provider. We also understand the frustration of lack of affordability. We do offer payment plans when reasonable as well as sliding scale in some instances.

It is important to know that we are not like the others...

This is not a quick fix. Our program is life changing. We go very slowly and our patients lose about one pound each week. Our patients get healthy and get whole and eventually leave. Together, we change eating patterns. Together we build healthy lifestyles. These changes are incorporated to last. This is not a yo-yo diet meant to lose a quick twenty pound for the high school reunion. We use evidenced base research and FDA prescribing guidelines.

How much is compounded medication?

Compounded semaglutide is 100 units for $135
Compounded tirzapetide is 200 units for $325
Most people use 10-25 units each week
These are not part of an FDA approved weight loss plan and may have side effects and benefits that are not yet known.
